88 Minutes (2007, 5.9 on IMDb)
The film stars Al Pacino as Dr. Jack Gramm, a famous forensic psychiatrist who made his name by providing accurate profiles to law enforcement. In particular, Dr. Gramm's testimony was instrumental in the conviction of notorious serial killer Jon Forster. As Jon is about to be executed, one of Gramm's students is murdered in a copycat attack, and the profiler himself receives a message that he has only eighty-eight minutes to live. Now Gramm must use all of his knowledge to find the new killer.
Bandits (2001, 6.5 on IMDb)
This crime comedy-drama revolves around Joe and Terry, escaped convicts notorious for their many successful bank robberies, and Kate, a housewife jaded by her failing marriage, who is kidnapped by them. Joe and Terry's robberies were flawless and the two worked like a well-oiled machine until Kate entered their lives and they both began to develop feelings for her. To make matters worse, the FBI is after them.

The two succeed, and order and peace return to the town, until one day a charming widow, Allie, enters their lives, creating an uncomfortable love triangle.

Chandor's crime drama follows Abel Morales, a businessman determined to keep his oil distribution business ethical and legal despite the city's rising levels of crime and violence. This biopic tells the story of Frank Lucas, a notorious drug lord who built a criminal empire on smuggling heroin into the US in the wake of the Vietnam War. A former driver for a deceased mobster, Frank was able to succeed in his illegal business by offering a better product at a lower price thanks to his dealwith suppliers in Thailand, from where the heroin was transported to the US by returning veterans. Life would be perfect if it weren't for incorruptible Detective Richie Roberts, determined to catch Frank.
