Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures drops its seven-episode Season 3 on Disney+ today, arriving more than eight months after Season 2’s 23-episode run and building on the show’s well-reviewed 2023 debut.

All seven episodes of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures Season 3 just dropped on Disney+. If you have a Nubs fan at home (or you secretly are one), the new batch is ready to go.

The setup

This is the kid-focused animated series Lucasfilm launched in 2023 that critics were surprisingly kind to. It takes place about 200 years before The Phantom Menace, during the High Republic era, and follows Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs as they train, tag along with Master Yoda, and help folks around the galaxy. Season 3 leans into a new theme: droids.

"The upcoming episodes will see the Jedi kids embark on a journey into the delightful world of droid care."

What you are getting in Season 3

All seven episodes are live now. This season arrives a little over eight months after Season 2 wrapped its 23-episode run, so yes, the break was longer than usual.

Who is involved

  • Main trio: JeCobi Swain as Kai Brightstar, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, and Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs
  • Allies and mentors: Emma Berman as Nash Durango, Nasim Pedrad as Master Zia Zanna, Gunnar Sizemore as Wes Vinik, Piotr Michael as Master Yoda
  • Adversaries and others: Trey Murphy as Taborr/Cyrus Vuundir
  • New additions: Beepers, Dozer, and Gigi, a quirky squad of droids with big personalities who join the kids on missions
  • Guest players: Dotti of Dotti's Droid Depot (an eccentric droid builder) and Rek Minuu, a tinkerer

Behind the scenes

Showrunner Michael Olson executive produces alongside James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, and Elliot M. Bour. The series is produced by Lucasfilm with animation partner Wild Canary.

If you have been waiting for more High Republic adventures sized for younger viewers, Season 3 is here, and it is very pro-droid.
