Just in time for spooky season, Comedy Central has set South Park’s next Season 28 episode for this week, promising fresh storylines and unexpected twists.

South Park is sneaking back in for Halloween, and yes, they moved the night on us. The long-running chaos machine has a new episode hitting this week, and it sounds like the show is leaning right into its Washington, D.C. saga with a supernatural twist.

When and where

Comedy Central says the Halloween episode is titled "The Woman in the Hat" and airs Friday, October 31 at 10 pm ET/PT. That Friday drop is a one-off detour from the show’s usual Wednesday slot.

"South Park is all new Friday, October 31st at 10pm ET/PT on Comedy Central with a special Halloween episode."

That line went up on the official South Park account on X on October 28.

What the episode is actually about

Per the network’s description, the White House is dealing with a not-so-friendly presence in the East Wing while Stan is spiraling about the town turning way too political. The episode also keeps going with the season’s eyebrow-raising thread: President Donald Trump ordering part of the White House knocked down to make room for a ballroom. Because subtlety is dead.

Promo images are not shy about the bit either. One shows Trump and Satan literally watching the East Wing come down. Another puts Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller in a room with something supernatural that clearly did not RSVP.

How we got here

This is the second episode of Season 28 and lands after a short pause following the October 15 premiere. That opener introduced the show’s take on investor Peter Thiel, who casually predicted the world would end in roughly a week, which sent the kids into a panic. It wrapped with Cartman heading to D.C., and Friday’s Halloween special is set to pick up that thread while the Trump/Satan storyline keeps spilling across Washington.

The schedule after Halloween

Once this Friday detour is done, the show slides back to its regular rhythm on Comedy Central, with next-day streaming on Paramount+ and other services.

  • Wednesday, November 12
  • Wednesday, November 26
  • Wednesday, December 10

So, in short: one spooky Friday drop, a haunted White House, Trump and Satan supervising construction, and Cartman loose in D.C. You are not imagining it — this season is going for it.
