Loosey LaDuca losing the Makeover Challenge was not only fair but quite predictable.

RuPaul's Drag Race's move to MTV this year was problematic, to say the least, as fans were disappointed with the shorter episode length, which prevented the queens from building chemistry with each other and really opening up to viewers. Nevertheless, season 15 still managed to pleasantly surprise us with the new queens putting on a real show for the audience.

With the season already in its final stretch, only the strongest queens survived, and it looks like the recent makeover episode has divided the fan base quite a bit.

In episode 13, the queens were tasked with doing a teacher makeover.

Though all of them did a fairly good job, Luxx Noir and Loosey LaDuca found themselves in the bottom two, and while Luxx's placement was perhaps deserved, some fans took it personally for Loosey, arguing that her performance and costume were spot on.

However, objectively speaking, LaDuca's makeover left a lot to be desired.

Compared to the other queens, she looked a bit pale and uninspired, and overall, Loosey failed to impress the judges with her costume. While she didn't flop the challenge like Luxx, someone simply had to be in the bottom two, and Sasha, Anetra, and Mistress Isabelle Brooks all performed at the top.

Of course, Mistress could be criticized for wearing a simple slip-on dress, but she did look absolutely stunning in it and made an impression on par with her competitors.

It should be noted that RuPaul's makeover challenges have always been a bit problematic, as the bottom placements are notorious for not being really objective.

The judges can attack almost anything in the participants' costumes, and the fact that Loosey found herself at the bottom doesn't actually mean she was the worst — it's just that she failed to impress the judges and (most of) the audience.

RuPaul's Drag Race season 15 episode 14 will arrive on MTV on March 31, 2023.
