Sony Announces PlayStation State of Play Tomorrow With 35 Minutes of Reveals, Headlined by Returnal Studio's New Game Saros

Plus fresh reveals from across PlayStation Studios.
Showcase season is getting crowded. Nintendo went two weeks early, Kojima did his own mini thing ahead of the pack, and with Tokyo Game Show week spinning up (Capcom, RGG Studio, and Xbox all have stuff), Sony is finally jumping in.
- When: Wednesday, September 24 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST
- How long: 35 minutes
- What to expect: New looks at anticipated third-party and indie games, plus updates from a few PlayStation Studios teams
- The headliner: Housemarque's Saros gets nearly five minutes of PS5 gameplay
Sony confirmed the new State of Play is happening tomorrow, and yes, they are putting Housemarque front and center. If you have been waiting to actually see what Saros looks like in motion, this is your first real chunk of gameplay, not just a blink-and-miss teaser.
PlayStation says the stream will 'share new looks at anticipated third-party and indie titles, plus updates from some of our teams at PlayStation Studios.'
Also worth noting, in a very 'inside baseball' way: the calendar jockeying this month has been wild. Nintendo went first, Kojima carved out his own lane, and now Sony is rounding out the console trifecta as TGS week kicks off. Timing-wise, it all lines up.
This is a developing one. I will update once the showcase airs and we have real details on Saros and whatever third-party surprises Sony is hiding.
