Anthony and Kate Bridgerton's story is on track for a heartwarming continuation in upcoming episodes.

After Bridgerton became an instant hit for Netflix in 2019, the series' popularity was cemented with the second installment released in 2022.

One of the mainstays of that incredible success was the Season 2 lead couple — Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma.

Kanthony, as fans call the pairing, captured viewers' attention with their undeniable chemistry and sexual tension, dozens of sweet little moments, looks, exchanges, and incomparable steamy scenes.

Even though they played out a classic enemies-to-lovers trope that we have seen hundreds of times before, Kanthony's love arc was so well-developed that it can easily be placed at the top of the list of such stories.

Many fans obsessed with the pairing noted that while Season 2 was dedicated to Kanthony, it had too many other characters and subplots that were important to the show as a whole but detracted viewers from the main romance. For example, Kate's younger sister Edwina stood between the lovers for most of the season, and though fans enjoyed the love triangle situation at first, it just dragged on for too long.

As a result, some of the most delightful moments of the Kanthony romance were left out of the show — fans never saw the couple's wedding and only spent a few minutes with them enjoying their honeymoon. This situation left many viewers disappointed and wanting more.

Fortunately, actress Simone Ashley, who plays Kate, recently teased that the Kanthony arc is not over.

'Kate and Anthony's story has softened quite a lot in the third season, and there's lots of things that we're all really excited for the fans to discover about their relationship and their love story,' Simone said in an interview with Hypebae.

Such a heartwarming update sent all Kanthony fans into a frenzy and made them eager for Season 3.

'Gosh, I cannot wait to see Kanthony again! It's been so long. And to know that what's coming is fluffy and soft just makes me so happy,' a Redditor wrote, and the rest of the fandom seems to agree.

It has been almost 14 months since Bridgerton Season 2 premiered, but the release date for the third season still hasn't been announced. These long gaps between seasons are a great pain for fans, and now that we know Kanthony will finally get their happily-ever-after moments in Season 3, the wait will be truly unbearable.

However, it's expected that the new season will hit Netflix sometime later this year, so we won't have to wait too long!
