Mighty Ducks alum Shaun Weiss has thrown a lifeline to Tylor Chase, the Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide actor recently spotted homeless in California, going public with an offer of help and saying opportunities are already lined up.

File this under good news you actually want to see in your feed: Shaun Weiss, yes, Goldberg from The Mighty Ducks, is trying to track down former Ned's Declassified actor Tylor Chase after a viral video showed Chase living on the street in California. Weiss says he already has a plan lined up — he just needs to find him.

Weiss goes public with a plan

Weiss, who you also might remember from the 1995 film Heavyweights, posted a video on Instagram saying he has been flooded with messages about Chase and started making calls. According to Weiss, he has secured a detox bed and a spot for long-term treatment if they can get Chase there.

"I have received many messages about [Tylor Chase]... I reached out to some friends of mine, and we have a bed for him at a detox, and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment."

"All we need to do now is find him. I'm not in Los Angeles, or I would go look for him myself."

"Please DM me so we can get him some help in time for the holiday."

Short version: Weiss has the resources ready. The hold-up is locating Chase. He asked anyone who runs into Chase in person to message him so they can move fast.

Who is Tylor Chase?

Chase is best known for playing Martin Qwerly — the hyper-verbal, super-smart middle schooler — across all three seasons of Nickelodeon's Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. He also popped up on Everybody Hates Chris and in Good Time Max.

The recent viral clip that put him back in the spotlight shows someone recognizing him on the street and asking if he used to be on Disney. Chase corrects them: it was Nickelodeon, and he names the show. As of now, there have been no new updates on his situation beyond that video.

It is a tough story, but Weiss trying to turn a viral moment into actual help — and doing it publicly so people can assist — is the kind of practical, no-BS approach that might actually make a difference here.
