It looks like the show used an unorthodox method to cover all the bases.

RuPaul's Drag Race is undoubtedly one of the most talked-about reality shows in the current network TV landscape, with each new episode bringing fans online to discuss its every little detail.

It's no wonder that the producers try to keep the plot twists a secret — even from the competing queens themselves.

Of course, the elimination process is the most exciting part of each episode, and it looks like the producers did their best to hide which queen will sashay away in the episode 'Blame It on the Edit.'

Watching this episode, fans were eager to find out who the final three queens of the season would be, as one of them was expected to go home after this week's Maxi Challenge. That didn't happen, however, because both Anetra and Mistress Isabelle Brooks did so well in the lip sync battle that RuPaul decided to save both queens from elimination.

But it turns out the outcome of this episode could have been very different, and even the queens didn't know who won the challenge up until the episode's release!

Recently, drag queen Willam revealed that the filming of this episode's elimination process was quite convoluted, and even after the filming was completed, both Anetra and Mistress Isabelle Brooks were unsure who would move on to the next episode.

'They filmed this ending three different ways. They filmed Anetra going home, Mistress going home and the double [save], because all the girls were telling me: "We don't know if it's a top three or a top four yet," because the third and the fourth slot, they film multiples for,' Willam said on the Race Chaser Podcast.

Yes, it looks like the producers juggled several ideas on how to do the rest of the season, wondering if they should let either Anetra or Mistress go. In the end, they decided to keep them both, and fans really support this decision, arguing that dismissing one of the queens so early would have been really heartbreaking for all.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 15 Episode 15 will arrive on MTV on April 7, and the final Episode 16, on April 14.
