One of the most private couples finally made an appearance at the Met Gala, stunning everyone with their perfectly matching outfits.
This year's Met Gala, dedicated to the creative legacy of Karl Lagerfeld, dazzled fashion lovers with opulent gowns, pearls, and the abundance of white, black, and silver. But some stars chose to come in gold, absolutely nailing the theme.
One of the highlights of the event was Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse making their debut on the main red (cream, actually) carpet of New York City. Although their outfits weren't as flashy as many of the other celebrities', the star couple looked great as they complemented each other perfectly. True relationship goals!
Being a prominent model, actress, and musician, Suki Waterhouse appeared at the Met Gala once in 2014, but this year, she looked even more impressive. The star opted for a sheer gown by Fendi, a fashion house with a long history of collaboration with Lagerfeld.
Suki's silk tulle dress was part of Lagerfeld's Spring/Summer 2019 collection, and it perfectly represented lightness and airiness. The ensemble was complemented by gold jewelry with emeralds, rubies, and diamonds, as well as strappy heels.
Her beau, on the other hand, wore a Dior Men suit with pleated skirt and trousers. The audience's attention was drawn to his gold cameo instead of a tie and black jeweled shoes.
What's more, Robert presented a great example of how to respect your significant other through clothes. His tux did not detract from his partner's gown, but his brooch and shoes complemented the overall ensemble and matched Waterhouse's choice of colors and jewelry perfectly.
The couple was one of the most adorable at the event, and they seemed to be passionate about each other first and foremost rather than the gala itself. The two have been dating since 2018, and it's clear that their relationship is going strong.
Actually, according to Suki herself, she never thought she could have such a warm, sensual, and trusting relationship with anyone.
'I'm shocked that I'm so happy with someone for nearly five years. I'm always incredibly excited when I see his name pop up [on my phone] or even a text, and I think he feels the same about me. We've always got so much to say, and I find him hilarious,' the star told The Times.
