It has been nearly four years since the final episode of Game of Thrones came out.

While not everyone was satisfied with the series' conclusion, there are currently no alternatives. After all, it is uncertain when George R. R. Martin's next book will be published, let alone when the A Song of Ice and Fire saga will conclude (if it ever does).

Nonetheless, fans' passion keeps running hot. Not only are people captivated by the new House of the Dragon series, but they also continue to cherish the original characters. This time, they have chosen to celebrate the relationship between the noseless and the handless.

Indeed, we're talking about the two unlucky Lannister brothers, Tyrion and Jaime.

Despite their dark destinies, their familial bond always endured. Initially, Jaime was portrayed as having no identity beyond his incestuous relationship with his twin sister Cersei. However, his genuine love for his younger brother and the desire to protect him ultimately give Jaime an independent personality that contradicts Cersei's disdain for Tyrion.

Reddit users decided to encapsulate the intricate and multifaceted relationship between Lord Tywin Lannister's eldest and youngest sons in a single word as long the word isn't "hand"!

Of course, the word "hand" did get mentioned, which was pretty much inevitable. Jaime's lost hand might be a recurring joke, but the real focus is on the stark contrast between the two brothers.

Jaime, uninterested in political intrigue and having declined the position of Hand of the King, contrasts sharply with the ambitious Tyrion, who aspired to be a fair ruler (eventually serving as Daenerys's Hand and later Bran's). These differences enabled the brothers to better understand themselves and grow.

However, the most popular word was "brothers." Not only was their relationship the healthiest within House Lannister, but it also helped them process their traumas.

"Trauma-bonded" was how one Redditor described it. The brothers became a coping mechanism for each other, each serving as the sole beacon of light that preserved their humanity for the other.

And there you have it, dear GoT fans! "Brothers" is the most fitting word to describe the relationship between these two characters. Ultimately, their brotherly love taught both Tyrion and Jaime to recognise the goodness in others and empathise with them.
