Reacher Season 4: Release Window, Cast Shake-Ups, and Where the Story Goes Next

Reacher is already charging into Season 4—renewed before Season 3 even landed—with Alan Ritchson back in the fight; here’s everything we know so far.
Reacher is already gearing up for another round of bone-crunching justice. Season 4 is underway, it has a new Lee Child novel as its template, and Alan Ritchson says the fights are on a whole different level. Here’s what’s coming, who’s in it, and why Amazon is probably smiling.
What story Season 4 is telling
Reacher keeps playing hopscotch with the books. After Season 1 adapted book 1 (Killing Floor), Season 2 jumped to book 11 (Bad Luck and Trouble), and Season 3 went back to book 7 (Persuader). Season 4 now pulls from book 13, Gone Tomorrow.
The setup: on a subway ride, Reacher clocks a woman who ticks too many boxes on his mental checklist for a potential suicide bomber. He tries to defuse the situation; it ends with her killing herself. That’s the spark for a bigger mystery Reacher refuses to walk away from. I’ll leave the rest unspoiled.
Who’s back (and who’s new)
Created by Nick Santora and based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels, the series remains a one-book-per-season beast. Alan Ritchson returns as the 6-foot-5 wrecking ball we all signed up for. Eight new actors have been added this time, including singer-actress Agnez Mo from The Hospital (per Variety). One note from the casting shuffle: FUBAR’s Jay Baruchel was initially set to join but has since been replaced by Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette.
- Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher
- Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette as Jacob Merrick
- Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green
- Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth
- Anggun as Amisha Hoth
- Kevin Weisman as Russell Plum
- Marc Blucas as John Samson
- Kevin Corrigan as Detective Docherty
- Kathleen Robertson as Elsbeth Samson
One more name to watch: Maria Sten may be back as Frances Neagley. She’s got a spinoff, Neagley, on the way, so don’t be surprised if she pops up here too.
Where the season stands and when to expect it
Amazon renewed the show for Season 4 before Season 3 even dropped, which tells you everything about the confidence level. Cameras are rolling now, and the current target is sometime in 2026 (per Men’s Journal). No exact date yet.
Season 3 set a high bar
In February 2025, Season 3 became Prime Video’s most-watched returning series ever. As of now, it still holds that title. The big question is whether Season 4 can outmuscle its own predecessor.
Ritchson says the action is turned up to 11 (actually, 11 fights)
"It’s a gauntlet. I mean, it’s just a labyrinth of fights. We shot 11 fights in the first four weeks, and we’ve never shot anything close to that pace. Everywhere Reacher turns, he’s got another group on his heels. It’s fun, wild, and nonstop, and we haven’t done anything like it yet."
Ritchson also said that after a typical day he was covered in a mix of real and fake blood, and called Season 4 the best and the bloodiest yet. He’s teased the same vibe on his Instagram, so plan accordingly if you’re squeamish.
Reacher streams on Prime Video. If you’re not caught up, now’s the time.
