Ranking the Most Hated Stranger Things Characters: Who Made the Top 10 List?
Check out this list of the most annoying and evil characters in the show.
The Duffer brothers' Stranger Things is one of the most popular series out there right now, with an army of fans that numbers in the millions. With so many viewers following the show on Netflix, it's no wonder that people's choices of the most and least favorite characters differ significantly.
However, with some thorough deliberation, we were able to come up with ten most despised characters on Stranger Things — here they are, ranging from simply annoying to downright horrible.
10. Mike Wheeler
9. Billy Hargrove
8. Lonnie Byers
7. Tom Holloway
6. The Demogorgon
5. The Mind Flayer
4. Vecna
3. Dr. Brenner
2. Jason Carver
1. Angela
As you can see, only one of the main characters, Mike, made the cut as the most hated person on the show. Even though he is just another teenage character, considering how obnoxious Mike can be, it comes as no surprise that many viewers simply can't stand him.
Not to be outdone, all of the main villains of the show are on this list, with the overarching villain Dr. Brenner ranking high above the monsters he himself brought to life. Somewhat surprisingly, Will's father Lonnie is placed near the bottom of the list. Even though he never killed anyone, this absentee father with anger management issues is considered by many to be even worse than Vecna.
The top two spots are occupied by two of Stranger Things' biggest bullies. Season 4's minor villain Jason, who tormented the kids to the point of death, failed to reach the level of infamy of Season 1's Angela. This latter obnoxious bully is still venomously hated by the community for the way she treated Eleven.
Perhaps some of the other Stranger Things fans can come up with other names to add to this list, but the community has spoken, deeming all of the above characters far worse than anyone else on the show. But who knows, maybe the upcoming Season 5 will add someone new to the shameful list.
Stranger Things' new season is expected to hit Netflix in late 2023 or next year.
