Queen Charlotte's Lady Danbury Ending Explained: Did Violet Know About the Affair?

Bridgerton's spin-off series, Queen Charlotte, not only invited fans to see what life was like for the young Queen before the events of the main show, but also managed to deepen the relationship between the older characters in the story, including Lady Danbury and Violet Bridgerton.

At the end of the prequel series, fans learned a big secret about Lady Danbury and her connection to Violet that could have ruined the friendship between the two ladies.

So what happened between these characters in the series finale?

At the end of Queen Charlotte, it was suddenly revealed that Lady Danbury had not stopped seeing other men after the death of her husband, whom she hated — and what's more, she was romantically involved with Lord Ledger, Violet's father. Although she and her lover were separated for years, it seemed that the two had genuine feelings for each other.

The finale didn't make it clear, however, if Violet knew about her best friend's relationship with her father. This makes fans a bit worried, as learning the truth could destroy Violet's trust in Lady Danbury and hurt the great relationship between the ladies.

'I'm really hoping she won't hold it against [Lady Danbury] 'cause they're really good friends,' one fan said.

Other fans are pretty sure that Violet knows about Lady Danbury and her father. Given the fact that her father was unhappy in his marriage, people think that Violet has forgiven them both and moved on, not letting this crazy affair ruin her life.

Many people are hopeful that Violet and Lady Danbury will get their respected limited series exploring their youth in the near future, so that we may get a chance to learn how their relationship changes and develops throughout their lives. However, it's more likely that Netflix might renew Queen Charlotte for a second season.

For now, fans of the Bridgerverse are waiting for the main series' third season to come out sometime later this year.
