Percy Jackson Star Reveals Bold Season 5 Plans as Season 2 Premieres
With Season 2 rolling out on Disney+, Percy Jackson star Aryan Simhadri is already pitching his Season 5 plan, hinting at where Rick Riordan’s demigod saga could head next.
Season 2 just landed, and one of the stars is already talking about how the show should end. Honestly? I respect the ambition.
What Aryan Simhadri wants for Season 5
Aryan Simhadri — who plays Grover Underwood in Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians — says he has a big swing in mind for the final chapter. In a new chat with Screen Rant, he floated the idea of splitting Season 5 into two parts. Yep, the classic finale stretch-it-out move.
'That would be such a nightmare (laughs). I think it’d be awesome, though. Walker (Scobell) and I, we always ask. Every season. They’re like, 'Oh, maybe next season.' But I think it’s a realistic thing by Season 4 or maybe Season 5, especially.'
He didn’t stop at directing. Simhadri also said that by Seasons 4 or 5, he and co-star Walker Scobell would love a seat in the writers room — or a producer credit — so they can pitch ideas directly instead of just tossing them over the fence. According to him, the writers are already open to hearing them, but he’d like to be part of the process for real.
Quick refresher on where the show is
The series adapts Rick Riordan’s books and premiered on Disney+ in 2023. Season 2’s first episodes dropped on December 10, 2025. Multiple reports say the plan is to cover the fifth and final novel, The Last Olympian, in the show’s final season — which is why Simhadri’s two-part Season 5 idea is interesting timing. Ambitious? Sure. Premature? Also yes.
The wishlist, straight from Grover
- Split Season 5 into two parts
- Possibly direct an episode by Season 4 or 5 (even if he jokes it would be a 'nightmare')
- Join the writers room or come on as a producer to pitch ideas directly
To be clear, none of this is official — this is an actor talking out loud about what he’d like to do as the show barrels toward its endgame. Still, it’s a fun peek at how involved the younger cast wants to be as the series builds to The Last Olympian.
