Percy Jackson Season 3 Just Scored a Major Release Date Upgrade
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 just took a big step toward locking its release date, with two key creatives signaling fresh progress. The third chapter was greenlit early, even as Season 2 targets a late 2025 debut on Disney+.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians just hit a big Season 3 milestone: cameras are down, swords are sheathed, and the last shot was apparently captured in a cargo elevator. Yes, really. That oddly perfect detail comes straight from the people making the show.
Production is wrapped
Executive producer and writer Albert Kim confirmed that Season 3 has finished filming, and he added a delightfully random capper about where the final setup went down.
"Yes, we wrapped. The last scene we shot for Percy Jackson S3 was in a cargo elevator."
Hairstylist Jeannie Chow also marked the end of the shoot on Instagram, so the crew is officially out of the trenches.
What Season 3 is adapting
This new run covers The Titan's Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan's series. The plot sends Percy and company on a rescue mission for Annabeth Chase and Artemis after both are captured by the titan Atlas. Expect the show to hug the text even tighter this time. As star Walker Scobell put it:
"It is the most book-accurate season we've had yet."
When to expect it
Season 3 is set for 2026 on Disney+. No exact date yet, but the show likes winter. Season 1 launched in December, and Season 2 is slated for late 2025, so December 2026 is a very reasonable bet.
Who is steering this thing
The series is co-created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg and adapts Riordan's massively popular novels. It's the second major live-action take on the material after the two films led by Logan Lerman. Behind the camera, James Bobin is back to direct the first two episodes of Season 3, keeping the same kickoff pattern he set on the previous two seasons.
