Percy Jackson and the Olympians fans just got their biggest clue yet: the Season 2 post-credits scene has locked in a return window for Season 3 on Disney+, while hinting at even more adventures in store for Percy and Annabeth.

Well, if you made it all the way to the end of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 — and sat through the credits — you got a sneak peek that’s more than just a cute teaser. Disney+ slipped in a pretty direct message about when we’ll see Percy and friends again, along with some hints about what’s next. Yeah, I know. Not every streamer wants to keep you in the loop, but here’s what we got.

Season 3 Is Coming... But Not For a While

If you missed the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it post-credits announcement: Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 is officially coming, but don’t start camping out just yet. Disney+ says it’s aiming for a 2026 release. (So, yes, let’s hope you like counting down.) The official greenlight dropped back in March 2025, with production expected to start up in August of that year.

Rick Riordan, the guy behind the books and the series, sounded just about as excited as you’d expect. He said something along the lines of:

'From the moment Percy Jackson and the Olympians debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages. With season two set to premiere this December, we’re thrilled to announce that Percy’s journey will continue with a third season.'

So, clearly he’s not looking to end Percy’s magical headache anytime soon.

What’s Next? Book 3: Titan’s Curse

If you’re wondering what part of Percy’s saga is about to get the screen treatment, they’re going with The Titan’s Curse — book three in Riordan’s series. (That’s where things start getting really wild, if you ask me.)

About Those Post-Credits Scenes

Here’s where it gets a little nerdy and fun:

  • First, there’s a return to Circe’s island. The goddess is still scheming away, and she puts Percy and Annabeth front and center as heroes who survived the infamous Trial of the Sirens. It’s a callback, yes, but also a nice setup for whatever trouble she’s cooking up down the road.
  • The second scene takes us to a completely different vibe — Percy and Annabeth at a school dance. This is the clearest nod to Season 3. Not only does the scene straight up confirm the series will be back in 2026, but it’s also lifted right out of the opening of The Titan’s Curse novel. (If you’ve read it, you know: Percy and Annabeth hit up a school after Grover tracks down a couple of brand new demigods. The dance is basically where this next quest kicks off.)

So, TL;DR: Season 3 is on the horizon, you’ll just need a little patience, and it’s leaning hard into the next book — which, personal opinion, has some of the best plot twists so far. If you’re the kind of fan who sticks around for the credits, congrats, you were among the first to know.
