Fans continue to savour the chemistry between these two years later.

Nothing is more heartwarming for fans than knowing the actors from their favourite movies and shows, whose characters have remarkable on-screen chemistry and also share a real-life bond.

That's probably why so many people remain loyal to their beloved franchises for years after they end, as any news about the actors' off-screen relationship still stirs warm, nostalgic memories.

The Big Bang Theory's ensemble cast really excels in this department, continuing to generate exciting news that proves how strong their off-screen friendship is and delighting fans with numerous stories from the time the show was filming. Even Jim Parsons' decision to leave the project after Season 12, which ultimately ended the show, did not sour their relationship. And as numerous bloopers attest, the chemistry between Jim and Kaley Cuoco on set was out of this world.

In the 12 years the show was on the air, fans got to see their unique chemistry evolve: when the nerdy self-absorbed researcher and the down-to-earth Nebraska girl meet for the first time, they are worlds apart, but over time they bond and eventually become inseparable friends. However, this relationship went far beyond what happened in the show, as the two actors remained in touch even after the show ended.

When Cuoco was nominated for her first Golden Globe Award for The Flight Attendant, Parsons was genuinely happy and supportive.

'Jim had sent me a text the morning of the Globes because he saw a video I posted. He was like, "I just saw your video." His message was very cute. He was very excited,' Cuoco shared at the time.

Meanwhile, during the TBBT era, it wasn't just the fans but also the crew that truly enjoyed their genuine on and off-screen chemistry. Just check out the outtakes from the show to get a sense of the vibe on set.

'I think the show does good by stepping back and letting their real-life relationship shine through,' a fan commented.

Parsons and Cuoco are very good actors who can play roles that are very different from their real-life personalities; however, in the case of Sheldon and Penny, incorporating their off-screen dynamics into the roles only made the characters feel more authentic. Just get a load of the way they look at each other.

'I'm always amazed the actors can maintain their composure as much as they do. There are certain scenes I've watched when I've said, literally out loud, "HOW can they keep from laughing?!!!"' Another fan added.

Their close friendship would have disrupted filming at times, seeing how difficult it must have been for them to keep a straight face on set when playing opposite a close friend. Thus, the fact they actually managed to stay in character most of the time just goes to show how talented they are as actors.
