Paradise Gets the Green Light: Hulu Orders Season 3
Hulu renews Paradise for Season 3 after a breakout two-season run.
Paradise is not done with us. Hulu just gave the post-apocalyptic thriller a Season 3 pickup, and the timing says the streamer likes what it sees.
Warning: This article contains spoilers through Paradise Season 2, Episode 6.
The renewal, right now
Hulu officially renewed Paradise for Season 3 two weeks ahead of the Season 2 finale and less than a month after the new season started rolling out. The show comes from creator Dan Fogelman and stars three-time Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown as Secret Service agent Xavier Collins, the guy who cannot stop digging into the assassination of U.S. President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) even when the world around him keeps collapsing.
Where Season 2 stands
Season 2 premiered in February 2026 and has been building out the factions and fractures in a bigger, nastier way. Episode 6 dropped on March 16 and shifted the spotlight to Nicole Brydon Bloom’s Jane Driscoll and Krys Marshall’s Nicole Robinson. After Robinson is detained, Redmond sends Driscoll to broker terms with Link’s militia. Link, played with slippery charm by Thomas Doherty, has turned a ragtag crew into a fast-growing force, which puts a lot of pressure on everyone still trying to hold a line.
How the show got here
Season 1 debuted in January 2025, hooked a massive audience, and snagged strong reviews, even if the big reveal of Bradford’s killer landed softer than the hype suggested. Hulu moved quickly and greenlit Season 2 about a month after that first premiere, and the follow-up season arrived with a wider scope and a meaner pulse. Along the way, the series assembled a stacked cast around Brown: James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, and Shailene Woodley among them.
The numbers behind the decision
- Season 2 has racked up 30 million hours of viewing so far; Season 1 adds another 25 million hours.
- Disney says the show has been streamed for nearly 12 billion minutes overall.
- Season 1 earned four Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and acting nods for Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, and Julianne Nicholson.
- The Season 3 renewal landed two weeks before the Season 2 finale and under a month after Season 2 began airing.
- Season 2 premiered in February 2026; Episode 6 hit Hulu on March 16.
- Season 2 was ordered roughly a month after Season 1 premiered in January 2025.
What to expect
With the board reset and Link’s militia swelling, Season 3 now feels inevitable rather than speculative. Paradise knows how to pay off its slow burns with sharp left turns, and the viewership suggests plenty of people are sticking around to see where those turns lead. For now, all eyes on the final stretch of Season 2—and then right back into the wasteland for more.
