Fans of Yellowstone enjoy the appearances of country music stars Ryan Bingham (who plays Walker) and Lainey Wilson (Abby).

And now it appears they may be treated to a cameo by Miranda Lambert – provided she gets to play herself.

Of her four appearances on TV shows to date, Lambert has only taken on an acting role once – as Lacey Ford in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Other than that, she appeared as a contestant on the reality show Nashville Star in 2003, performed on CMT Cross Country in 2007, and has been an advisor on The Voice.

And her role in Law & Order: SVU saw her playing a contestant on a reality TV show so was pretty close to home for the If I Were a Cowboy singer.

And she’s pretty open about admitting she’s “never been much of an actress”. But the opportunity to make an appearance as herself in the western show is something she hasn’t ruled out.

In fact, she has (kind of) made an appearance on the show already. At least a poster for her 2009 album “Revolution” featured on the door of the cowboy bunkhouse.

The Texas-born singer also revealed that she’s spoken to co-creator Taylor Sheridan about having some of her songs featured on future episodes of the show. The pair met when they both received a Texas Medal of Arts and got talking – with Lambert pushing her songs for Yellowstone.

Whether that comes off and whether Lambert makes an appearance as herself or plays another character remains to be seen.

Not that she has a massive amount of time on her hands at the moment. She has 24 concerts still to perform in 2023 – mostly in Las Vegas. So, it seems unlikely we’ll see her loitering on the set of Yellowstone for some time yet.

Although, if the showrunners are keen to capitalise on the popularity of the singer who has won three Grammys, was named Entertainer of the Year at the 2022 ACM Awards, and holds the record for winning the ACM’s Female Vocalist of the Year award nine consecutive times, it’s worth noting that the flight time from Las Vegas to Montana (where Yellowstone is filmed ) is just three and a half hours.

So, there just is a slim chance that a small cameo for Miranda Lambert could be written into the next season of Yellowstone – and that’s pretty much the only part she would want.
