It's hard to believe there's a character more obnoxious than Tedros.

The most controversial show of the season, The Idol wrapped up just under a week ago, and although most people breathed a sigh of relief, all the buzz around the project doesn't seem to die down yet. It looks like viewers are still incredibly disturbed and can't stop sharing their criticism after watching five episodes full of sex scenes, abuse, threats, and just very creepy characters with no cautionary message or any decent creative idea behind them.

Speaking of characters, The Weeknd's Tedros is widely recognized as the most obnoxious character in TV series of recent years (or all time, perhaps?). And yet, there are some fans who claim that Tedros is a saint compared to one of his creepy cult followers. So who's this despicable person?

A shaved and tattooed member of Tedros' cult, Mitch was the character who made many viewers shrug while watching The Idol. He was a crazy fanatic who apparently idolized Tedros and acted as his muscle, terrorizing anyone who posed a potential threat to his master.

'I hated him because he was so creepy. And he didn't have to be scary to be creepy,' a Reddit user commented.

But in fact, Mitch was scary, and it was very unsettling to see how he hit on Jocelyn's assistant Leia. Mitch's presence was ominous and persistent, making it clear how weird and unhealthy Tedros' cult community was. Viewers were fearful that he would rape Leia, abduct, or even kill her.

That never happened in fact, and the audience wondered what was the point of introducing Mitch as such an intimidating character.

'I really thought this boy was going to kill someone then he just [tried] to dance with Leia…' another Redditor shared.

All in all, Mitch turned out to be a creepy, but ultimately very shallow character. It looks like he could have become a more important presence on the show, and perhaps he did play a more prominent role in The Idol's original script, which was severely altered by The Weeknd and Sam Levinson.

The performer who portrayed him is Mitch Modes, and he is not an actor at all. Modes is the personal stylist of Playboi Carti and The Weeknd himself, with whom he is also good friends.
