Netflix’s One Piece locks in two key villains for Season 3, casting Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger as the live-action adventure sails into the Alabasta Arc.

Netflix just plugged two key Baroque Works villains into its live-action One Piece, which means we are officially sailing into the Alabasta arc. If you have been waiting for the big hitters to show up, here they come.

Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger are in

Awdo Awdo is playing Mr. 1 and Daisy Head is taking on Miss Doublefinger in Season 3. Both are core Baroque Works players in Alabasta, so expect steel-on-bone and thorny trouble for the Straw Hats. Cameras are rolling now in Cape Town, South Africa.

Quick background on the newcomers: Awdo Awdo popped up in the 2024 short film Under Siege and is repped by Gersh, Gilchrist Management, and Vault Entertainment. Daisy Head you likely know from Shadow and Bone (Genya Safin) and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (Sofina); she is repped by Gordon & French and Luber Roklin.

About that timeline

Here is the slightly head-scratching part. Netflix says Season 2 premieres March 10, 2026. Season 3, meanwhile, started moving not long after its renewal in August 2025, and production is underway. Yes, that means they got Season 3 going before Season 2 even drops. Welcome to the era of long VFX pipelines and overlapping schedules.

What the show is doing

If you are just catching up: this is Netflix adapting Eiichiro Oda's monster-hit manga about Monkey D. Luffy and his crew chasing the One Piece, with Season 3 zeroing in on the Alabasta storyline and Baroque Works making life very difficult for the Straw Hats.
