The hit singer is getting richer by the day.

While not many people had heard of Oliver Anthony a month ago, the Virginia farmer and singer's name has become inescapable for anyone who listens to music, as his viral country hit 'Rich Men North of Richmond' has been making waves since its debut on August 8. Country has always been one of the most popular music genres in the US, but even iconic singers like Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, and Blake Shelton can envy Anthony's success.

In just a few weeks, 'Rich Men North of Richmond' has racked up more than 34 million views on YouTube and topped the Spotify charts with more than 18 million streams. On top of that, the unlikely anthem has already topped Billboard's Hot 100, which is an insane feat for a song recorded without the help of a record label.

Even though Anthony was just an ordinary guy a month ago, the insane popularity of his song has already made him a very wealthy man. According to some analytics, Anthony is making a ridiculous amount of money every day, mostly from the sales and streams of his music.

As of now, the country singer is earning a whopping $40 thousand a day for the song, which is an insane number when you think about it.

In just one month, Anthony will earn more than $1 million, and if his songs remain relevant a year from now, he could be worth more than $14 million by next August. Besides, the fact that Anthony is an independent artist helps his earnings quite a bit because record labels, agents, and producers won't be able to take a cut of his money.

And it looks like the new star is well aware of this, as he recently revealed that he turned down an $8-million offer from a prominent record label.

By doing so, Anthony preserved his reputation as an independent artist and revealed himself to be a pretty smart man — evidently, he could earn the same amount of money in just half a year without any help from labels or producers.
