The con is back on: Warner Bros. Ocean’s 14 is reuniting George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt—and hinting at the return of a familiar villain—as another star signs on for the heist.

Ocean's 14 keeps inching forward, and now one of the franchise's best foils is officially back. Plus, we finally have a better idea of when cameras might actually roll.

The big return

Andy Garcia, yes, the same Andy Garcia from The Godfather Part III, says he is returning as Terry Benedict. That makes it his first time playing the icy casino king since Ocean's Eleven more than 20 years ago. If you remember how that rivalry ended, bringing Benedict back is a spicy choice.

Who is back (so far)

When are they filming?

Garcia says Warner Bros. is now aiming to start production in 2026. At one point, a January start was on the board, but that got nudged because, well, wrangling the schedules of this many A-listers is like planning a lunar landing.

George Clooney had previously said the money was in place and they were trying to lock a start date:

"We just got the budget approved at Warner Brothers, and we're trying to set up," Clooney said. "It's just scheduling, so it's just setting a start date for us. Probably start in about nine or ten months, shooting."

Translation: the studio is ready to go, but diaries are a nightmare. Now it sounds like everyone's converging on 2026.

Director, plot, and other moving pieces

There is no director or release date yet. Edward Berger, fresh off Conclave, was asked to take the reins and passed. Plot details are locked down for now. Given the ensemble, expect the usual globe-trotting caper energy, but the specifics are being kept quiet.

Quick franchise refresher

Steven Soderbergh rebooted Ocean's Eleven in the early 2000s with Clooney, Pitt, and Damon leading a murderers' row of scene-stealers. That hit turned into two more Soderbergh-led sequels and then the spin-off Ocean's 8, starring Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, Danny's sister. Across the board, the franchise has cleared $1 billion worldwide. So yeah, there's a reason the suits want another one.
