We all love Bridgerton for its steamy love stories. What could be better than delving into the intriguing ton-deceiving arrangement between Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset or the electric enemies-to-lovers story of Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton? Just several romantic arcs happening at once.
The beauty of Bridgerton is that it doesn't limit itself to one story per season, but continues the arcs of beloved characters and starts new ones, which can serve as a bridge to next installments. At this point, some of the secondary storylines are even more anticipated by fans than the central romance between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.
Here are three major subplots that the Bridgerverse fans are looking forward to seeing when Season 3 finally lands on our screens.
Anthony and Kate's Married Life
Many fans still find it hard to stop obsessing over last season's main couple. With all the past traumas and love triangle drama, Kate and Anthony were not given much time to show the happy side to their story. So people are eagerly waiting for the newlyweds to sneak away for some private time while they attend to their duties as Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton in Season 3.
Benedict's Love Story
If Benedict Bridgerton is to be the Season 4 protagonist and the series follows Julia Quinn's original books, his love story must begin in Season 3, with meeting and falling in love with a charming masked lady at a masquerade ball.
Benedict's book storyline is a variation of the Cinderella story, in which the hero must search long and passionately for the girl of his dreams. Fans hope that Shonda Rhimes will give the character a whole season to pine for his future wife.
Francesca's Society Debut
We haven't seen much of Francesca Bridgerton in the first two seasons, but the upcoming chapter may change that. It's been revealed that the character will be played by new actress Hannah Dodd, so that probably means more screen time for her.
Francesca is about to turn 18, which is the debutante age for women in the Bridgerverse ton. If her story follows the book route, she is set to become the diamond of her season and get married right away.
Don't worry, Francesca's solo story is not about her first marriage, although we may meet her future love interest in Season 3.
