No One Asked for Kim: 5 AHS Actors Fans Are Desperate to See Return
American Horror Story fans miss the original cast.
American Horror Story (AHS) Season 12 is set to premiere on FX on 1 August 2023, kicking off the spooky season earlier than usual this year. The new spine-chilling story is based on the thriller novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine and features some exciting new names joining the show's usual cast, including Cara Delevingne, Matt Czuchry, and, most notably, Kim Kardashian.
While inviting celebrities of this calibre might help boost the show's declining ratings, longtime fans seem more excited about the return of original cast member Emma Roberts, last seen in Season 9, titled 1984. In fact, according to Reddit, they would prefer to see other day-one stars appear in the hair-raising universe rather than get used to new faces.
Here's who fans would like to see return the most.
Lily Rabe
Lily Rabe has been a fan favourite ever since the first season, in which she played Nora Montgomery, the first owner of the Murder House. Over the course of her nine seasons on the show, Lily portrayed everyone from caustic grieving mothers and starry-eyed witches to possessed nuns and real-life murderers. However, her roles were mostly supporting. Now, fans want her back as a central character.
Taissa Farmiga
Although she only had three roles on AHS, Taissa Farmiga was a highlight of the seasons she appeared in for many viewers. They would love to see her return to play a character other than a smart, angsty teenager. She certainly has the talent for it. Plus, how cool would it be if she brought her sister Vera Farmiga with her?
Evan Peters
Evan Peters may be a household name today, but it was AHS that originally brought him worldwide fame. He appeared in every season until Apocalypse in 2018 and then returned in 2021 for Double Feature. Most of his characters were antagonistic, and now fans would like to see Evan return as someone less evil or psychotic, someone like Asylum's Kit Walker.
Connie Britton
Connie Britton only appeared in the very first season of AHS and then reprised her role as Vivien Harmon in the crossover Apocalypse, but for many fans, her performance was so memorable that they are still begging the creators to bring her back. Many are convinced that AHS would only benefit from her charm, regardless of whether she plays another protagonist or a villain.
Jessica Lange
The queen of AHS, Jessica Lange, is, of course, at the top of our list. The actress played four lead roles in five seasons of the show, each of which became iconic in its own way. Many fans feel that Lange was the best thing about the show, and it hasn't been the same since she left. Who knows, maybe when the much-missed actress returns, she will bring back the golden era of AHS.
