Niall vs. Chance: New Judges Turning The Voice Upside Down (in the Best Way Possible)
The current judging panel seems to be regarded as the best in the history of the show.
NBC's hit reality competition has fallen on hard times over the past couple of seasons as fans grew tired of the show's formula, claiming that the focus had shifted from talented singers to the judges, whose battered bickering with each other was seriously bothering fans.
And it seems the channel understood the complaints and decided to shake things up a bit in season 23 by bringing in Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper as new judges.
And it looks like NBC's gamble paid off!
People claim that the new judges are greatly improving The Voice, as the show has again become more focused on the contestants and their singing abilities. Although many were unsure of Niall before his debut on the panel, the former One Direction member immediately proved to be an attentive and caring mentor, who managed to put together a good team of talented singers.
What's more, Niall fitted in perfectly with both Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson, making even previously hated scripted moments feel fresh and funny.
Chance, on the other hand, became more of a lone wolf compared to his fellow judges, making it clear to everyone from the start that he came to the show to find and nurture talented performers, not to boost his own career.
And he stuck to his words, practically refusing to chat with the other judges, focusing all his attention on the singers. And his choice of team proved to be quite extraordinary, as the talented hip-hop artist and producer managed to spot talent even in performers the other judges refused to even consider.
Overall, the current season of The Voice seems special, and not just because it will be Blake Shelton's last.
The new judges have made the show feel fresh and got millions of bored fans interested in it again, as an upcoming showdown between Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan will be a real spectacle to witness.
