New on Netflix This Week (October 6-12, 2025): Must-Watch Shows and Movies to Stream
Netflix packs the week of October 6–12 with all seven seasons of Nurse Jackie scrubbing in on October 7, alongside Caramelo, The Maze Runner, and Typhoon Family.
Netflix is flipping the lights on a weirdly balanced week: prestige dramedy binge, YA dystopia marathon, a Brazilian comedy-drama with a very good dog, and a South Korean family-business meltdown. Here are the highlights for October 6–12, 2025, and when to hit play.
The big swings this week
Nurse Jackie (Seasons 1–7) lands Tuesday. If you missed it during its original run, the former Showtime series is a dark, funny ER dramedy about Jackie, a whip-smart nurse with a messy personal life who will bend rules (and then some) to protect her patients from shallow doctors and a busted health-care system. All seven seasons dropping at once is dangerous for sleep schedules.
Caramelo arrives Wednesday. It is a Brazilian film about a chef whose life is upended by a major medical diagnosis. He stumbles into hope and humor through a caramel-colored stray dog — yes, the title is doing double duty. It sounds like one of those gentle heart-tuggers that sneaks up on you.
The Maze Runner trilogy hits Thursday. The first movie follows Thomas, who wakes up with no memory inside a giant maze called the Glade. He and the other boys try to bust out and discover they are basically lab rats in an experiment. Netflix is dropping The Maze Runner, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Maze Runner: Death Cure together, so if you missed the YA dystopia era the first time, here is your marathon.
Typhoon Family closes out Saturday. The South Korean series is set in 1997 during the country’s economic crisis, as Kang Tae Pung’s company buckles. After his father dies, he steps in as the new CEO and tries to save what is left. Corporate drama against a real-world financial freefall — very inside-baseball, very stressful.
