Netflix has set fall 2026 for Lupin Part 4, ending a more than two-year wait to see Omar Sy’s gentleman thief return in one of the streamer’s most-watched French thrillers.

Good news for the gentleman thief crowd: Netflix finally put a window on Lupin Part 4. The wait has been long, the tease is minimalist, and yes, the show is still a monster hit.

Release window locked

Netflix says Lupin Part 4 drops in fall 2026, with Omar Sy back as Assane Diop for another round of slick heists and near-misses. The update landed right after production wrapped in September 2025, paired with a new poster that shows Assane reflected in a rain puddle on a French street. Not exactly a spoiler machine, but it leans back into the clean, high-tension style that made the series pop from day one.

Where we left Assane

Part 3 left things messy in the fun way. Assane swiped the Black Pearl, faked his death, rescued his estranged mother, and then turned himself in to keep his family safe. The season closed with him behind bars, plenty of unfinished business hanging over his head, and a growing list of enemies who are not done with him. Expect Part 4 to pick up right in that aftermath.

Who is back for Part 4

The show is still riffing on Arsene Lupin, and the core team is sticking around for the next chapter.

  • Cast: Omar Sy, Ludivine Sagnier, Shirine Boutella, Antoine Gouy, Theo Christine, Soufiane Guerrab
  • Creators returning: George Kay and Francois Uzan
  • Additional co-creators: Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer, Tigran Rosine
  • Showrunners: Omar Sy and Louis Leterrier

Why the wait is still worth it

Lupin remains one of Netflix's biggest non-English hits. Part 1 alone reached an estimated 70 million households in its first month and became one of the rare French-language series to hit No. 1 in major markets, including the U.S. So yeah, announcing a fall 2026 release more than two years after the last season aired is a long runway, but the audience is clearly there.

Until then, Parts 1–3 are sitting on Netflix if you need a refresher before Assane pulls his next move.
