Netflix Confirms Beef Season 2 Release Date: Find Out When It Drops
Mark your calendars: Beef Season 2 premieres April 16, 2026 on Netflix, launching a fresh chapter of the hit comedy-drama anthology.
Beef is back on the grill with a fresh story and a shiny new cast. Netflix finally put a date on season 2, and yes, it is still an anthology, so expect a whole new mess from a whole new set of people.
Release date
Beef season 2 premieres on Netflix on April 16, 2026.
The setup this time
A young couple witness an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.
Translation: one ugly incident at a very fancy club spirals into power plays, IOUs, and leverage under a mega-rich owner. It is a sharp pivot from season 1’s road-rage feud, but very much in the show’s wheelhouse of bad decisions turning into bigger disasters.
Who is in it and who is steering it
- Cast: Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, and Seoyeon Jang. Netflix has not announced any additional casting yet.
- Showrunner/creator: Lee Sung Jin returns to run season 2 after creating the series and steering season 1.
- Executive producers: Lee Sung Jin, Jake Schreier, Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny.
Quick refresher on season 1
The first season dropped in April 2023 and starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, with Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, and Star Trek actress Patti Yasutake in the ensemble. Critics loved it, audiences found it hard to look away, and awards bodies piled on: Beef won eight Primetime Emmys, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, and both Yeun and Wong picked up acting Emmys. It also went 3-for-3 at the Golden Globes.
So expectations are not low. New story, new cast, same creative brain trust. We will see how far the country club chaos goes when season 2 lands in April.
