Fans of Amazon Prime's RoP will be happy to hear they have much to look forward to in the show's second season according to Morfydd Clark herself.

However, that isn't the only detail about the series she has recently confessed to.

The Galadriel actress also gave away a major spoiler for season 2, and it's certainly got fans talking.

Morfydd Clark's reveal for season 2

At the FYC event in Hollywood recently, Clark revealed that her character will indeed receive Nenya, one of the elven rings forged in the season one finale. Not only did Clark confirm Galadriel's acquaintance with the ring for season 2, but she described it as 'life changing' for the character.

Many fans addressed the difference between Galadriel's personality in the series to how she was originally described in the books throughout the first season. Perhaps her character's attachment to the ring in the second season will bring her closer to the calm and wise nature she is known for.

What we can expect during the second season

According to LotR lore, Galadriel will be joined in ownership of the rings by Gil-galad and Círdan, who has yet to be revealed on the show. In addition to the three elvish rings, there are an additional seven rings for dwarf lords, nine for men, and the One Ring; worn by Sauron himself. Where we saw the first three elvish rings forged at the end of the first season, which of the other rings to be forged next remains to be seen.

As for Galadriel herself, Clark teased that the character will be 'trying to see the light through the darkness'. This is no doubt a reference to the powers of Nenya, as well as the ongoing narrative involving Sauron. Nevertheless, she seemed excited at what this news means for her character within the series and how the rings of power will become a crucial part of the story.

The remaining rings of power

RoP is set a thousand years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien's books LotR and The Hobbit, focusing mainly on the forging of the rings of power and the initial rise of Sauron in Middle Earth. The additional rings will likely be introduced in season two, although which characters will receive them is still a mystery.

Also attending the FYC event, Peter Mullan, who plays King Durin III, hinted at the possibility of a new necklace, which may have something to do with the mithril from Khazad-dûm. Ismael Cruz Córdova, who plays Arondir, rather discussed how the aftermath of the previous season's events will affect the characters generally.

Overall everyone remained frustratingly tight-lipped about any further developments for the upcoming season, refusing to drop any more spoilers. This probably means plenty more twists and surprises await in the upcoming season. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait patiently for its release to find out for themselves.
