Major Yellowstone Season 5 Reddit Theory Goes Viral – Again
Fans once again noticed a huge plot hole.
Paramount+'s Yellowstone, following the complicated lives of Montana's Duttons ranching clan, has been one of the biggest television hits since it premiered in 2018, thanks to the insane chemistry between the series' leads and Taylor Sheridan's intricate writing.
But for a show so full of intrigue, Yellowstone still has some embarrassing holes in the plot that ruin the immersion for many viewers. And with the final half of Season 5 yet to be released, fans have begun to formulate theories to explain the show's biggest plot hole.
In the first half of the last season, Beth and Jamie Dutton finally begin to feud for real, threatening each other's lives and businesses in the process. In one of the most memorable scenes of the released episodes, Jamie tells Beth about the 'train station,' a special rural area where the Duttons have been burying their opponents for quite some time, and Beth seems quite disturbed to find out the truth about her family.
However, fans now suspect that Beth is not being completely honest, as it looks like she knew about the 'train station' before she talked to Jamie.
In Season 4, Beth follows Jamie after he kills his biological father and even takes some pictures of him leaving the 'train station,' threatening to go to the police. Considering that Beth was able to track Jamie to that place herself, it appears that she's known about the 'train station' all along, which creates a huge plot hole for the rest of Yellowstone's Season 5.
Beth's knowledge of Jamie's choice of where to bury his father's body seems suspicious, and some people tried to explain it by saying that she simply followed him without actually knowing what 'train station' was. However, other fans disagreed, arguing that Sherdan's writing has long since become stale and trite, and this embarrassing plot hole certainly proves it.
'It's a soap opera. Amnesia happens all the time. Really bad writing, but yeah, it's the Beth and Jamie show,' one fan said.
The second half of Season 5 was scheduled to arrive in November, but it looks like the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes will force Paramount+ to shelve the episodes for the foreseeable future.
