Little Mermaid's Halle Bailey Sparks Pregnancy Rumors at MTV VMAs

Disney's remake of The Little Mermaid may not have been the blockbuster the studio was hoping for, but it certainly helped put Halle Bailey on the map as one of Hollywood's most talented up-and-comers. Although many haters predicted that her role as Ariel would ruin her career before it even started, Bailey is actually doing better than ever, as her heartfelt performance as the iconic mermaid managed to make a pretty mediocre movie quite interesting.

However, even though the actress has some interesting projects on the backburner, she recently became the subject of a huge debate not because of them, as fans seem to have spotted something quite interesting during Bailey's recent appearance at MTV's VMAs.

A striking dress

Bailey took the stage to introduce Maneskin's performance, but everyone forgot about the popular Italian band the moment they saw Halle and her sister Chloe on stage. They both looked gorgeous, but it was Halle's interesting choice of dress that really got people talking.

The orange dress made the actress look like a nymph as it literally flowed around her body. However, fans were quick to notice how perfectly this dress covered Halle's belly, leading some to believe that she chose it just to cover her baby bump.

And while this may sound like yet another conspiracy theory, it should be noted that from some angles it does look like Halle has a baby bump. In addition, fans have noticed that Halle has been appearing in public only in baggy clothes for the past few weeks, constantly hiding her belly from the public eye.

Fans are dying to know

Of course, nothing is official yet, but considering that Halle's sister Halle urged fans to mind their own business, it looks like the actress may indeed be expecting her firstborn.

The singer and actress has been dating famous rapper DDG since 2021, and while the couple has broken up a few times, they are apparently still together, and it looks like DDG is the father of the baby.
