List of Upcoming Jonathan Majors Movies Possibly Derailed After His Arrest
Not only could the recent arrest ruin Majors' career, but also have a negative impact on the entire MCU.
Jonathan Majors has been one of the biggest up-and-coming actors in recent years, becoming the main villain of the MCU’s Phase Five, as well as giving strong performances in many other major Hollywood films. However, Majors’ recent arrest for assault and strangulation could seriously mess up his career and even result in him spending some time in jail.
Here are all the projects that could be derailed by Major's arrest:
MCU Phase Five
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Majors plays the role of Kang the Conqueror, a time-traveling supervillain with many evil versions of himself, all out to destroy time itself. In the recently released Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Kang was officially confirmed as the main villain of the entire fifth phase, and prior to Majors' arrest, he seemed like an ideal choice.
However, with recent developments, upcoming films like Fantastic Four and series like Loki may be in serious danger of having to recast their villains with another actor.
The Man in My Basement
The crime movie, based on a bestseller by Walter Mosley, will revolve around a man whose basement has been rented by a shady European businessman for a hefty sum, sounds like an exciting thriller and a great project for Majors, who was cast in the lead role some time ago.
The movie is still in pre-production, so the studio won't lose much money if they decide to recast Majors with a safer actor.
Da Understudy
Amazon Studios' project about an understudy willing to kill for the role of his dreams may be directed by Spike Lee himself, so Majors' eagerness to star in and produce the film is more than understandable.
However, if Lee does agree to direct and Majors legal troubles continue, Amazon will likely dump the actor and hire someone else.
48 Hours in Vegas
Prior to his arrest, Majors reportedly had his eye on playing Dennis Rodman, in the film set during his troubled 1998 NBA Finals. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the future of the film is hanging by a thread, as Majors' involvement was certainly crucial to the film's success.
