Lindsay Lohan & America Ferrera Feud on Ugly Betty Set Got Even Uglier
It was 'a mess.'
It's no secret that Lindsay Lohan's time on Ugly Betty has been cut from a planned 6 episodes to 4, but the real reason has yet to be revealed. However, according to The Things, an inside source has hinted at a feud between the New York-born actress and co-star America Ferrera.
The source described how Lohan refused to appear on set before Ferrera in what was described as a 'power play.'
They also described the situation as 'a mess,' saying 'Lindsay would show up every day with an entourage of people' and smoke all day. 'After she left,' the source claimed, 'they had to repaint her dressing room; it was such a mess.'
But it wasn't all one way. It was also alleged that Ferrera pulled down Lohan's pants, revealing that she was 'not wearing any underwear.' Although an unnamed friend of Lohan's is quoted as saying, 'Bull---t! Lindsay wears underwear all the time now. She was wearing a G-string.' Adding, 'They were rehearsing the scene and America wasn't supposed to pull Lindsay's pants down – but she did. Lindsay was so embarrassed she started crying.'
This was just one example, the anonymous friend said, of Ferrera being 'mean to Lindsay' on set. They went on to claim that the producers gave Ferrera 'too much power' and it was she who had Lohan 'kicked off.'
This has been denied by Ferrera's representatives.
Of course, that's all in the past now. Ferrera is now starring as Gloria in the forthcoming Barbie movie and Lohan has settled down and is pregnant with a baby boy.
It seems unlikely that either of them would want to dredge up their past feud. But with both camps seemingly blaming the other for the spat, one has to look at the life and times of each to determine who might have been more at fault.
Lohan has had several brushes with the law and at one point seemed to be at odds with almost everyone she met. Ferrera, on the other hand, has been an influential voice in the #MeToo campaign, has been active in encouraging Latino citizens to vote and has spoken out in support of women's rights.
So you can make up your own mind as to who was more likely to be the main antagonist in the feud that eventually saw Lindsay Lohan leave Ugly Betty early.
