Lea Michele and Alex Newell's Glee Feud is Over, and We Got Proof
Several years after accusations of misconduct on set, the Glee star has found a way to redeem herself.
An immensely popular teen musical show, Glee finished its stellar six-year run in 2015, but the amazing cast of actors and brilliant singers will forever be remembered by their army of dedicated fans.
Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry, one of the series' central characters, is arguably the most recognizable of all the cast members. Her astounding renditions of Barbra Streisand's 'Don't Rain on My Parade' and Celine Dion's 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now' were just two of the memorable performances she gave on Glee. But despite Michele's talent as a singer, she was frequently accused of being a terrible castmate.
In 2018, Lea Michele faced a terrible backlash from the fans of her co-star Alex Newell, as people accused her of mistreating the actors of color on the set of Glee. While Newell herself did not share any details about Michele's behavior, the tension between the two artists was tangible, and the situation hadn't improved for years until the stars recently published their photo together on Instagram.
Fans of the Glee actors were surprised and relieved to see Lea Michele and Alex Newell hugging and smiling radiantly in a photo from the recent Tony Awards ceremony.
Alex won an award for their performance in the musical Shucked, and Lea was happy to congratulate her ex-co-star on that achievement.
'This was a moment for me! I'm so happy we could share this season together! And thank you for celebrating me! Look how far we've come!' Newell captioned the same picture on their Instagram story, tagging Michele.
So it looks like Lea Michele and Alex Newell's feud, if it had been there in the first place, is finally over, and the Glee cast members clearly enjoy each other's company now. Both stars look incredibly happy in their photo together, so fans are hoping the two will continue to keep in touch and possibly even share the screen again at some point in the future.
