Krapopolis hangs in the balance: as buzz from the latest season builds, will Fox give Season 4 the green light or swing the axe? Here’s where the renewal odds stand—and when to expect a verdict.

Short version: if you were worried Fox might pull the plug on Krapopolis, relax. The gods are not done bickering.

So, is Krapopolis coming back?

Yep. Fox has officially renewed Krapopolis for Season 4. Dan Harmon told fans the news on Thursday during Comic-Con International in San Diego, which is exactly the kind of stage you use when you want to make sure your announcement lands with the diehards.

"For all our Krap-devotees, there was no better place to decree another season of Krapopolis than the annual San Diego Comic-Con fan fest. And no one better to deliver the proclamation than our brilliant creator and executive producer, Dan Harmon."

Fox entertainment chief Michael Thorn also called the show something special and said the plan is to keep those once-in-a-millennia laughs rolling on the Animation Domination block.

How we got here

Krapopolis had a head start. Fox picked it up for Seasons 2 and 3 before the show even premiered in September 2023. Now Harmon, who also co-created Rick and Morty, has Season 4 in hand after that SDCC reveal. And in a slightly wild show of confidence, Fox says Season 5 is officially happening too. That is a lot of runway for a series that launched in 2023, but it tracks with how the network has been treating its animated slate.

What the show is (and why Fox keeps betting on it)

This is Fox’s ancient Greece comedy about gods and mortals who behave like a very messy family, which is the point. It has quietly built a loyal audience on Animation Domination by leaning into mythological chaos, sharp jokes, and a dysfunctional divine core that consistently pays off.

Who is talking in those mythic voices?

  • Richard Ayoade
  • Matt Berry
  • Pam Murphy
  • Duncan Trussell
  • Hannah Waddingham

The bottom line

Season 4 is locked. Season 5 is locked. Krapopolis isn’t going anywhere, and Fox is clearly all-in on this Olympian soap opera. If you’ve been following along, you’ll keep getting new episodes on Animation Domination; if you’re late to the party, you’ve got time to catch up before the pantheon starts squabbling again.
