It keeps getting uglier on the set of Yellowstone.

Kevin Costner, who has been feuding with series creator Taylor Sheridan since the beginning of the year, is reportedly holding Yellowstone hostage, making unreasonable demands for his shooting schedule that Sheridan has been unwilling to accommodate.

Costner responded by refusing to finish the remaining scenes of Season 5, bringing the entire production to a halt.

Now, the details keep getting worse as the Daily Mail reports all kinds of nasty gossip surrounding the most popular show on television. According to sources, Sheridan developed a 'God complex' on Yellowstone, leading to a fallout with multiple cast and crew, including none other than John Dutton.

Costner, reportedly concerned with the evolving direction of the show, reportedly approached Sheridan over the subject. However, the 52-year-old showrunner allegedly did not take the news well, and responded that the multiple Academy Award winner should 'just stick to acting.'

Costner, who also serves as an executive producer on Yellowstone, did not take kindly to the harsh words and has been clashing with Sheridan ever since that confrontation.

The reports come from unnamed insiders that worked on the production and witnessed the evolving beef between Costner and Sheridan. Costner has always regarded the cast and crew as 'family', which is reportedly why he got so upset with the future vision of the show. However, when he attempted to address the concerns to the showrunner, Sheridan responded by playing God.

'Taylor is the star of [Yellowstone],' the insider revealed. '[Taylor wants to be] the most important person on all of his shows.'

The biggest conflict between Costner and Sheridan revolves around shooting the remaining of season five of Yellowstone. Sheridan has been upset that Costner has not been available enough, largely because the 68-year-old is preoccupied with his own western (Horizon series) due out later this year.

Be that as it may, ask Costner's side and his legal team will tell you Costner has been ready and available since the end of last year for new scenes, but Sheridan hasn't completed any scripts and is 'overburdened' with other shows.

It makes sense considering that Sheridan has his hands in way too many TV shows, with even more slated to debut in 2023 and 2024, respectfully.

As a result, most are willing to take the side of Costner who still seems to actually care about the direction and quality of content on Yellowstone, unlike Sheridan (who probably only cares about the paycheck, at this point).

It's a sad, awful ending for one of the most beloved shows on TV over the last several years. Unfortunately, Sheridan is managing the entire situation like a child and has clearly let all the attention and fame get to his head.
