Ken Jeong Was the Only One to Guess Dandelion's Identity on Masked Singer

Season nine of The Masked Singer has finally reached the semi-finals stage, leaving judges and viewers wondering who the last three contestants will be. However, one of the season's biggest surprises was revealed in the 12 April episode.

Interestingly, neither the fans nor the judges guessed it, except for Ken Jeong!

Jeong is a remarkable addition to the show, entertaining viewers with his commentary on the contestants and jokes between acts. He is also known for almost never correctly guessing who is behind the mask.

But not this time! He finally figured out who was hiding behind Dandelion's mask. Although all the other judges had other ideas, Jeong correctly guessed it was actress and singer Alicia Witt.

'To me, you embody the spirit of what The Masked Singer is all about. It's about, honestly, amazing talents like you doing something that's hidden, and now it's flourishing for all to see,' he said after Dandelion's identity was revealed.

Jeong seemed shocked that his guess was correct. He jumped for joy when he found out that Witt was behind the mask.

'I knew Ken got Alicia Witt right because he was so earnest about his guess. Even though everyone dismissed him, annoyingly. You can tell when he's being super serious and when he's just being funny,' one of the fans pointed out.

Although Ken Jeong is often wrong in his guesses, this season he correctly guessed the identity of Rock Lobster as Howie Mandel before Dandelion. Of course, he has guessed contestants in previous seasons, too, but it is so rare that you can tell by his demeanour when he is really sure.

Alicia Witt's acting career began in the early 1980s when famed director David Lynch recognised her talent as an 8-year-old girl and invited her to star in Dune.

She went on to star in Twin Peaks and Hotel Room, and in 2017, she reprised her role in the third season of Twin Peaks. She also starred in the sitcom Cybill and the dramatic film Mr. Holland's Opus.

Witt is also a talented singer and pianist who performs in collaborations and as a solo artist. Regarding the criteria on which we based our assumptions about who was behind the mask, she appeared alongside Madonna in Four Rooms and collaborated with Elton John on the musical drama Nashville.

Episode 10 of The Masked Singer is scheduled to air April 19 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
