Justin Theroux Raises Doubts About Fallout Season 3
Fallout Season 3 might be down a major player: Justin Theroux says his return is up in the air after the Season 2 finale left his character’s fate in limbo, with production looming.
If you were betting on Justin Theroux being back as Mr. House in Fallout Season 3, maybe hold that thought.
Theroux on Season 3: shrug emoji
Asked point-blank about returning for the new season, which starts filming soon, Theroux did not exactly inspire confidence.
"Oh, I haven't even gotten... I don't know anything. I haven't... I'm not even sure I'm gonna be there... I genuinely don't know yet."
Season 2 left Mr. House in limbo, by design
The finale put House in a precarious spot. After The Ghoul discovered his wife and daughter's cryogenic pods were empty, he yanked the Pip-Boy that had been serving as the billionaire's mobile lifeline. The Lucky 38 screens immediately flashed 'Signal Lost' - not a hard goodbye, but not exactly a warm hello either.
Then came the post-credits stinger: House's signal still flickering. Translation: the digital lights are on somewhere, even if the main interface is offline. Season 2 also made it pretty clear House doesn't have a physical body anymore. His consciousness was operating through a Pip-Boy in the Lucky 38 penthouse, which strongly suggests that if he shows up again, it'll be as code, not flesh.
Honestly, that could make him even more dangerous. A purely digital Mr. House can ghost through systems, lurk in the background, and push buttons where the heroes can't see.
So who is back?
While Theroux's status is a question mark, Kyle MacLachlan is locked in for Season 3, joining returning leads Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins. Cameras roll soon. Mr. House? Consider him a very loud maybe until proven otherwise.
