Tulsa King Season 3 is still reeling from Jimmy the Creek’s Season 2 death, and no one is hit harder than Bodhi. How Jimmy died — and how Bodhi reacts — is driving the story forward.

Jimmy 'The Creek' may be gone, but Tulsa King is not letting you forget him. Season 3 opens with his absence still steering decisions, fueling grudges, and generally making life a mess for the people who were closest to him.

Quick refresher: who Jimmy was and why he mattered

Jimmy 'The Creek' (Glen Gould) started as a local weed grower and turned into a crucial ally for Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone). He was more than just a guy with product; he became Dwight's primary supplier and part of the backbone of the operation. Which is why his death hit like a wrecking ball.

  • Bodhi: Martin Starr
  • Bill Bevilaqua: Frank Grillo

How Jimmy died (Season 2, Episode 8)

Late in Season 2, Bill Bevilaqua orchestrates a drive-by at the Even Higher Plane dispensary. Jimmy and Bodhi are outside when it goes down. Bodhi walks away unscathed. Jimmy does not. He takes gunfire to the abdomen and collapses. It is not random street noise; it is a direct shot at Dwight's business. Losing Jimmy is a big, very personal blow.

Season 3 fallout: Bodhi's guilt, Bill's shadow, Dwight's response

Season 3, Episode 1 makes it clear the wound is still fresh. Bodhi is carrying the heaviest load: survivor guilt, anger, and the added insult of still having to operate under Bill's thumb even though he knows Bill was behind the hit. Yes, that is as messed up as it sounds, and it lights a fire under him.

When Bodhi gets face to face with one of the gunmen who killed Jimmy during an exchange, he pulls the trigger. The deal predictably falls apart, but Dwight does not chew him out. If anything, he backs Bodhi and makes it clear Jimmy will be avenged.

Why Jimmy's death matters more than most

Plenty of characters vanish in shows like this and barely get a name-drop after. Not here. Tulsa King keeps Jimmy front and center in Season 3. His death is the engine: it drives Bodhi's choices, hardens Dwight's resolve, and gives the story a clear target to aim at. Inside baseball-wise, that continued focus is unusual for this genre, and it works.
