Jeremy Renner Gives an Update for Worried Fans After Death Hoax
The star is doing well, despite some of his fans' claims to the contrary.
Jeremy Renner may not be the highest-paid star, but of all the actors associated with the MCU, he certainly has the most loyal fan base. Fans of the actor approve of every career decision he makes and supported him through his rough start in 2023, which saw Renner nearly die after a horrific snowplowing incident.
The actor slowly recovered, appearing on talk shows in a wheelchair and sharing his physical therapy on his social media. Fans were happy to know that the actor was getting better, and when Twitter recently exploded with the hashtag #RIPJeremyRenner, many were truly horrified.
As it turns out, someone simply decided to create the death hoax, making a sick joke to scare Jeremy Renner's fans. For a brief moment, thousands of people believed that the actor had actually died, and it wasn't until Renner himself posted on Twitter that everyone was finally sure that he was okay.
Yes, Jeremy Renner is alive and well, celebrating another beautiful day at Lake Tahoe, as his caption says. Though the star didn't post a selfie to reassure his fans, his post clearly alluded to the death hoax, and people were relieved to find out their favorite actor wasn't actually dead.
Most notably, none of the reputable media sources have taken up the hoax and reported Renner's death. Of course, fans of the actor are rightly outraged at the people who started and shared the death hoax, taking their anger out online and saying that it's a really bad idea to believe anything on social media these days.
'On the contrary, actor Jeremy Renner is alive and well as can be confirmed with a simple Google search,' one fan wrote shortly after the hoax went viral. 'The worst thing about social media is one realizes how many grifters there are in this world that lie or lack critical thinking skills.'
Fortunately, Jeremy Renner is continuing his recovery from the January accident and is almost ready to get back in front of the movie camera.
