Sony Pictures Classics has locked a date for Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass, the raunchy comedy that reunites The Morning Show duo Jennifer Aniston and Jon Hamm—this time playing themselves—alongside Zoey Deutch.

Jennifer Aniston and Jon Hamm are playing themselves in a raunchy new comedy that just circled a release date. The movie pairs them with Zoey Deutch, who takes the lead as a small-town hairdresser on a very specific mission. Yes, the title is a mouthful: 'Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass.'

What is this and why am I intrigued?

Deutch plays Gail, a stylist engaged to her devoted high school sweetheart, Tom. A simple trip to a book signing goes sideways when Tom meets — and actually uses — his so-called celebrity pass. Reeling, Gail bolts to Los Angeles with her buddy Otto, where a psychic dangles a solution to her romantic disaster:

'even the scales' with her own celebrity pass: Jon Hamm

From there, it turns into a star-chasing scavenger hunt across Hollywood with help from a talent agency assistant, a paparazzo, and, yes, actor John Slattery playing himself. Also, because this thing refuses to color inside the lines, they get

'hunted by a group of Italian assassins'

It is exactly as unhinged as it sounds.

Release date and the competitive pile-up

After premiering at the recent Sundance Film Festival, 'Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass' hits theaters on July 10, 2026. That plants it directly opposite Disney's live-action 'Moana' remake and in the same month as 'The Odyssey' and 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day.' Bold slot for a bawdy comedy chasing down Jon Hamm, but I get the counterprogramming play.

Who is making it

David Wain directs and co-wrote the script with Ken Marino. Sony Pictures Classics is releasing it. The film is produced by Anthony Bregman, Peter Cron, Ken Marino, David Wain, Crystine Zhang, and Charles Zhong. Executive producers include Robert Herjavec, Chenchen Dong, Tom Griffin, Amanda Chang, Adrian Politowski, Jamie Canniffe, Franny Baldwin, plus Zoey Deutch, Jon Hamm, and John Slattery.

The cast (and the cameos they keep teasing)

Golden Globe winners Jennifer Aniston and Jon Hamm appear as themselves, reuniting after sharing the screen on 'The Morning Show.' Zoey Deutch (Zombieland: Double Tap) leads as Gail. Expect a pile of celebrity cameos on top of this ensemble:

  • John Slattery (Nuremberg)
  • Ken Marino (The Residence)
  • Miles Gutierrez-Riley (Smile 2)
  • Ben Wang (Karate Kid: Legends)
  • Joe Lo Truglio (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
  • Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus)

So, to recap: Aniston and Hamm lampooning their own fame, Deutch on a revenge-romance quest, a Hollywood road trip, and, for reasons I admire, Italian assassins. July 2026 just got weirder in a good way.
