Looks like The Weeknd lost his temper on Twitter.

Ever since it was announced that BlackPink's Jennie would be appearing on HBO's The Idol alongside The Weeknd, people have been expecting the stars to collaborate, especially since the two singers are good friends in real life. Additionally, many K-pop fans started watching The Idol just because of Jennie, hoping to see her dance or sing on the show.

Of course, after three episodes, it became apparent that Jennie's character doesn't play a big role in The Weeknd and Sam Levinson's new series, but it looks like that might change during the next weekend.

While The Weeknd leads a pretty secretive lifestyle, some fans are still able to reach him via Twitter, pestering the star with constant questions about his collaboration with Jennie. Now it seems that the singer finally got annoyed with those questions and the hate, recently losing his temper on Twitter and revealing that he'll drop his collaboration with Jennie this coming weekend.

The news of the new song being released so soon is certainly a great way to cheer up fans, but some people are still concerned about The Weeknd, wondering why the singer failed to defend himself from the trolls. For some reason, The Weeknd decided to ruin the suspense and surprise instead of giving his fans the excitement of an out-of-the-blue release.

In any case, fans believe that The Weeknd's song with Jennie will somehow be a part of the upcoming fourth episode of The Idol, which is scheduled to be released this Sunday. Maybe the singer saved this song just to premiere it during the show, which will certainly make Jennie's character Dyanne feel more important in the story.

'This Sunday night will be especially exciting because the subplot involving Dyanne/Jennie's character will be coming to a head and that's when we'll get to hear this song. I know a lot of people are only here for Jennie and her collab, but it's going to hit a lot better when you have the context of the scene that it's played in. Now to wonder whether Dyanne specifically will sing it or if it'll simply be played during the episode,' one fan commented.

So tune in to HBO this Sunday, June 25, to hear the song for yourself.
