The upcoming Flash movie has yet to announce its official big bad - though the well-received trailer has given fans a few hints.

As the future of the DC film franchise is just as uncertain, fans have been calling for young star Jenna Ortega to eventually appear as the classic Flash villain, Killer Frost.

Killer Frost traces her origin all the way back to the Bronze Age of comic books, first appearing as a Firestorm villain in 1978. She was later stuck into the rogues gallery of a more popular hero - The Flash.

Despite her long tenure in DC lore, she’s only appeared once in live-action. She was played by Danielle Panabaker in the CW’s Arrowverse, mostly appearing in The Flash series. She was also present in the Injustice video games, as well as many animated appearances.

Ortega has been one of the past few years’ biggest breakout stars. After portraying Young Jane in the comedy series Jane the Virgin, she went on to star in Season 2 of You, both of the last two Scream movies, and last year's Netflix hit Wednesday as the titular Wednesday Adams. Ortega was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance on Wednesday, on top of a Critics Choice win for Actress in a Horror Series.

Digital artist kryptonz.ink showed us what she would look like as Killer Frost, posting an art piece on Instagram. Ortega’s thousand-mile stare shines in the piece, glowing blue with Killer Frost’s powers. Her hair is the shimmering silvery-blue that’s become synonymous with the character.

Just looking at this fan-casting art, Ortega looks like a perfect fit.

Beyond just the visual aspect, Ortega has proven herself to be a marvelous actor from whom the new DC Universe could benefit. Her acting chops were especially shown in Wednesday when she was able to flitter between an icy-cold demeanor and a sarcastic bite. She’s also likable, which is a quality the past version of the DCEU failed to instill in its villains and anti-heroes.

Ortega has an intense fandom and has publicly been adamant on connecting with those fans. She’s incredibly engaging on social media and would be a welcome addition to the DC family.

This wasn’t the only piece of fancasting that kryptonz.ink has done on his social media pages. Not long after Ortega’s artwork, he posted a picture of Creed’s Michael B. Jordan as Superman. There was also The Boys’ Antony Starr as Reverse Flash, Hugh Jackman as a comic-accurate Wolverine, and Penn Badgley as Mr. Fantastic.
