Jane Leaving Claim to Fame Has All the Fans Saying One Thing
Most fans think Dolly Parton's niece got what she deserved.
ABC's Claim to Fame is definitely one of the most thrilling reality shows on the air right now, thanks to a compelling and quite addictive premise - a group of people live under the same roof, each of them has a famous relative, and in order to win, they have to keep their famous family member a secret from everyone else.
Of course, the residence is full of hints and easter eggs, and keeping a secret about a famous relative isn't always easy for all the contestants.
Last year, Keke Palmer's sister Loreal won, but this season it looks like the winner could be even more surprising. One thing is for sure, though - no one related to Dolly Parton is going to be winning this season, as her niece Jada 'Jane' Star has just been eliminated from the show in week three.
While some fans who have not yet seen the show's third episode assumed that one of the contestants had already correctly identified Jane's famous relative, the truth is much more complex.
In the most recent episode, Jane was chosen to be a guesser, the person who must correctly guess another contestant's famous relative, and if the guesser is wrong, they are immediately eliminated from the show. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to Jane.
Given how Jane was constantly engaging in theatrics and making a production of everything she did or said, it's no surprise that many fans hated her from the start, labelling her a shady character and wanting her to be eliminated as soon as possible. When Jane left the show, some fans began posting 'good riddance' all over social media.
However, even though some fans were glad to see Jane fail to guess Chris' famous relative, as he is undoubtedly one of the season's biggest heartthrobs, others were still sad to see her go, arguing that her warm personality and witty remarks made her an interesting reality TV star to follow.
‘I thought she was a fun reality TV character. She obviously knew a lot, which added to her intrigue. Her hubris and theatrical way of doing things was funny. She wasn't excessively rude or mean to anyone,’ a fan said.
But even if Jane is no longer part of Claim to Fame, there are still other interesting contestants left, and considering that previously eliminated participants have been linked to the likes of Tom Hanks and Neil DeGrasse Tyson, it seems like Season 2 will have some stunning reveals later on.
