The Season 6 finale plot hole is not a hole after all.

The Young Sheldon Season 6 finale landed on CBS back in May, but it was only recently that fans of the show got the answer to the question that's been bothering them ever since.

With the feud between Missy and Sheldon, the flight to Germany, Missy's rebellion against the adult Coopers, and especially the tornado that struck Medford, the Season 6 finale hit pretty hard. Fans were left reeling from the intensity of the events shown in the hour-long special and wondered how the aftermath of the tornado would affect the lives of the beloved characters in Season 7.

Thankfully, no one was hurt, but there was a heartbreaking twist: the home of Connie Tucker, aka Meemaw, was completely destroyed. Strangely enough, the Coopers' house, which is located not too far away from Meemaw's, was barely scratched and remained to be habitable. But why? What was the reason for such selective destruction, plot-wise?

As it turns out, the knocking down of Meemaw's house was a forced measure for Young Sheldon creators because the Warner Ranch, the film set where the house is located, is being demolished and filming can no longer take place there. That's what Missy actress Raegan Revord explained in her Instagram post.

'Our writers had to figure out a way to get rid of Meemaw's house and that is how we got the tornado storyline,' Revord wrote. 'Seeing her house get demolished was truly heartbreaking, I have spent more time on those sets than my actual house. It's been a place where I've grown up.'

While answering fans' questions in the comments and assuaging their concerns, Raegan added that the Coopers' home is safe because it is located on another set in a Los Angeles neighborhood.

Well, that is definitely a relief. Of course, it's sad to lose all the history associated with the Warner Ranch, but the destruction of Meemaw's house could actually make for some interesting storylines in Season 7. Living with Dale could lead to the couple rekindling their relationship, and the rebuilding of the house could be a compelling arc for the entire season.
