Is Nathan Faison? General Hospital Fans Are Split
Seven years after Cesar Faison gunned him down, Nathan is back on General Hospital — and fans are buzzing: is this the real Nathan or a Faison-in-disguise twist?
Because this is General Hospital, a guy who was shot dead seven years ago can stroll back into Port Charles like he just stepped out for coffee. Nathan West returned earlier this year, and now the fandom is doing what it does best: tearing apart every eyebrow raise and shadowy glance to figure out if this is actually Nathan... or something else wearing his face.
The setup
Quick rewind: Nathan was killed by longtime GH mega-villain Cesar Faison. Cut to now, and Nathan is suddenly back in the mix, which has people wondering if he really cheated death or if we are being served a fresh batch of soap trickery. Some viewers swear the clues point to an imposter. Others are going for something wilder.
Where the debate exploded
It kicked off (loudly) on the General Hospital Fans - Official's Facebook page when someone lobbed this grenade:
"Nathan is Faison!??"
From there, it turned into a full-on theory buffet.
What fans are tossing around
- Faison in Nathan's body: The big swing theory says Faison somehow took over Nathan's body after killing him. Is it improbable? In real life, yes. In Port Charles, where masks, brainwashing, and look-alikes are basically Tuesday, it is not unthinkable.
- Maxie coma connection: One commenter argued Maxie is in a coma specifically because she would immediately clock that this guy is not Nathan.
- Faison really is dead: Another fan pushed back on the body-snatching idea. Their version goes like this: Faison is actually dead because Jason shot him, but before that, Faison saved Nathan and Britt somehow. Enter someone named Sidwell, who is allegedly using Nathan (and Britt) to carry on Faison's work.
- Clone or look-alike: Classic soap option. Maybe this is a Nathan copy or a near-perfect double.
- Plain old imposter: Forget sci-fi. It could just be a guy posing as Nathan with an agenda.
- The backlash: At least one viewer said this kind of twist is why they bailed on the show, calling the storyline stupid.
So... what is actually happening?
Right now, nothing is locked down. The show has deliberately left things murky, and the audience is trying to fill in the blanks. Personally, the body-takeover angle feels like a bridge too far — until a soap decides it is not, and then it becomes Tuesday. Either way, the writers clearly want us guessing.
Bottom line
Nathan is back after seven years, which is wild enough. Whether he is the real deal, Faison-adjacent, a Sidwell project, or an opportunistic doppelganger, the reveal is still being slow-rolled. We are going to need a few more episodes — and probably a dramatic bedside wake-up from Maxie — before any of this snaps into focus.
