These characters must appear in the upcoming season.

The Witcher Season 3 has proven to be much more faithful to Andrzej Sapkowski's source material, but unfortunately some plot changes have upset fans once again. So if they don't want to screw up one more time, the writers should introduce new characters in the following fourth season.

Let's take a look at the characters that could save Season 4 of Netflix's The Witcher.

5. Vattier de Rideaux

While the Northern Kingdoms have Sigismund Dijkstra, the head of Redanian Intelligence, Nilfgaard has an equally brilliant spy, Vattier de Rideaux. The head of Nilfgaardian Military Intelligence was one of the organizers of the Thanedd coup, and since the upcoming season will explore various global events on the Continuent, including political intrigue and wars, the writers just have to introduce this cunning character.

4. Angoulême

An indispensable member of the Witcher's gang is Angoulême, a girl and part-time bandit whom Geralt saved from being killed (although she tried to frame him). Out of gratitude to him, Angoulême joins the Witcher's group and provides him with more than a few important insights, while also adding a number of comical scenes to the story.

3. Anna Henrietta

Anna Herietta is the benevolent Duchess of Toussaint, who offered Geralt and his party a safe haven in her duchy. This vivid character also has a rocky love story with Jaskier, who almost lost his head twice because of his fickleness: once because of Anna Henrietta's abusive husband, and the other time because he was caught with another noblewoman.

2. Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy

In the novel Baptism of Fire, Geralt and his team travel in search of Ciri and along the way meet this higher vampire with whom the Witcher gradually becomes friends. Regis is a fascinating character thanks to his intelligence, humor, and sense of justice, which is rather uncharacteristic for vampires. He's an indispensable companion for Geralt, so it would be a great shame if the writers don't include him in Season 4.

1. Leo Bonhart

Undoubtedly, fans would be furious if this character is not in Season 4, as Bonhart is simply essential to The Witcher's plot. This ruthless mercenary was even more of a menace to Ciri than Vilgefortz himself. In the books, Bonhart captured Ciri and, instead of killing her, abused the girl and forced her to fight in a gladiatorial arena for months.
