Based on Louise Penny's series of novels featuring Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, this crime show follows the inspector as he investigates several murders in the fictional titular town. Armed with a keen intellect that helps him see the extraordinary in the seemingly normal, Gamache solves the cases while also investigating the disappearance of a young woman – a storyline entirely unique to the show.

Inspired by the stories of many real-life Nazi hunters, this show is set in New York in 1977 and centers on a group of American Nazi hunters who learn that several Nazi officers escaped to the US after World War II and are now plotting to create the Fourth Reich in the United States.
