Hulu closes out 2025 with a toon-fueled splash: The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball season 2 lands Monday, December 22, while Made in Korea bows with a two-episode premiere in a packed December 22–28 lineup.

Hulu is sliding into the holiday stretch with a mix of comfort food and curveballs: a fresh season of Gumball, a slick 70s-set Korean drama, a new serial killer thriller, and a Stephen King adaptation told backward. Here is what is actually dropping and when, plus why you might care.

Gumball is back, and yes, it is still wonderfully weird

Monday, December 22 brings The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball Season 2 to Hulu, with the full season landing at once. Created by Ben Bocquelet and produced by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, this is the follow-up revival to The Amazing World of Gumball, the Cartoon Network favorite that ran from 2011 to 2019. The setup has not changed: Gumball, a blue 12-year-old cat, gets into trouble with his 10-year-old adopted goldfish brother, Darwin. If you grew up on the original, this is that flavor again, just leaning into the new run.

New series: Made in Korea starts with a two-episode drop

On Wednesday, December 24, Hulu launches the first two episodes of Made in Korea. The show comes from creator Woo Min-ho and is set in 1970s South Korea. The story centers on two men heading toward the same collision point: one chasing ambition, the other anchored to justice. The main cast includes Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung, Won Ji-an, Seo Eun-soo, Cho Yeo-jeong, and Jung Sung-il.

Also this week: a killer called Mr. Shiny, and a life told in reverse

Strange Harvest lands Tuesday, December 23. Written and directed by Stuart Ortiz, it is a horror-crime mystery about multiple detectives on the hunt for a serial killer known as Mr. Shiny. If that name makes your skin crawl, mission accomplished.

Then on Friday, December 26, The Life of Chuck arrives. It is a fantasy drama from director Mike Flanagan, based on Stephen King’s 2020 novella. The movie follows Charles 'Chuck' Krantz, played by Tom Hiddleston, in reverse chronological order: starting with his death and walking backward to his childhood. It is an unusual structure, but it is built to land with a gut punch when it loops back to the start.
